You Are Enough

You

Yes you

Are enough.

Don’t believe me?

Give me one good reason why you are not enough

Hmmm.

OK.

I’m not convinced.

Those standards that you set for yourself are made up. They were created by your mind when your heart wasn’t connected. When who you were wasn’t satisfactory to somebody. Because they didn’t believe they were satisfactory.
And so our wonderfully complex bodies and minds calculate methods to adapt to fit into our current paradigm, because as our deep human ancestral core knows, to succeed socially is to survive.

And so it may be, that you have learned to survive. You’re here aren’t you? You learned the right ways to act. But that’s just survival, that’s not thriving. That’s not freedom, joy and wonder. To have that you must be free of that survival mechanism.

Is it still there? That relationship that makes you believe you aren’t enough? Are they still creating that sense within you that motivates your endless searching and doing and trying to perform? Or was it one that simply sticks with you? Or many?

Whatever they were to you, you must let it go.

Easier said than done.

And yet, when you accept that you are enough, that is where the ease lives.
Because you can now act without desperation and expectation.
You can dream without the fences of safety guarding your decisions and what you are capable of.
You can be done your work, for life is not all about work, we also must play.
We can play because we are enough, because we need moments of bliss, of pure engagement, with no ulterior motive.

And all you have to do to enjoy these blessed moments is believe that you are enough, darling.

Enough is enough.

Why do you work so hard? Why do you seek so much time away from your mind? Why is tomorrow always the focus and not today? What is it you are hoping to find?

Find it here. You are enough. You will never be more enough than you are right now, and never any less.

Rest easy, the world will go on without you. It’ll be okay. We need you more here, anyway.
